In my studio, I work mostly with batik on muslin, acrylic and oil paint on canvas. As a middle school art teacher at Carolina Day School, I also work with ceramics, (face-jugs), printmaking, silk screening t-shirt designs, film photography, and movie making. Follow my journey here.
Art is an
adventure and
my goal in life is
to have as many
as possible.
Much of my imagery comes from my experiences in three beautiful environments: my years spent teaching and sailing in the Caribbean; my home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina; and my summers at Camp Timanous in Maine. The process is a mindful exercise of staying in the moment while capturing the energy, the spirit and the light of these places that have found a place in my heart.
